Re: To anyone who has used CLINDAMYCIN,Cleocin, etc.
HI, thanks for all the responses. I'm glad to know it's not just me! My jaw dropped when I saw the prices you pay, $12-15! Could you tell me how/where you get it sooo cheap? I dont understand that one 8). I really have no choice but to use it because it was so pricey, I just cant waste it, and need to be patient. One more question, about how long does it take until you see improvements? Thanks again!

Re: To anyone who has used CLINDAMYCIN,Cleocin, etc.
I saw immediate improvements. I also started taking dxycycline at same time so dunno how much that had effect on my face too. But clynda should keep pores clear so you don't breakout. Any breakouts you get, should just be old clogged pores before you started it. I get mine from walgreens, i have insurance. I think i was given a 3 refill order from my derm. Which would probably work out to a little over 3 months worth. I am going to use all 3 tubes, and my other refill of doxycycline just to keep my acne under control and hopfully knock it out for good.
We'll see, as for prices for you if you don't have insurance. Id buy it off the internet. Exactly the same as you have in your hand. Make sure if you have any of the side effects you contact a doctor.
Also, im using the clindamycin gel, sub'd for Cleocin T.
Good Luck.

Re: To anyone who has used CLINDAMYCIN,Cleocin, etc.
I get my clyndamycin at the local pharmacy. Don't be too impressed with the price i pay, there small tubes that go fairly quick because i have to use it on my face and back. You said you pay $70 for a big shampoo sized container? I've gone through like 4 tubes of mine so far so i'll probably end up paying around $70 or so when i'm done using it all together, or maybe more come to think of it. How often do you apply it?

Re: To anyone who has used CLINDAMYCIN,Cleocin, etc.
Hi there,
I'm glad to hear that it works well, promptly. I have not heard of doxycycline, I wonder if that would work well for me with the clindamycin.
As to the size bottles, I WISH they were full shampoo size, but by trial size, I mean the miniature bottles you get at drugstore to use for a few days, for traveling.. I only apply very thin layer 2-3 times a day.
It is terrible though, I dont have insurance & the prices are outrageous. The big mystery to me is, dont these big drug companies think if they were reasonably priced- MORE and more people would buy it, way more customers! It is sad because people with severe acne, (I'm lucky, it's not too bad) already have enough to deal with. But having to go broke for the meds is unfair. Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to reply 8)

Re: To anyone who has used CLINDAMYCIN,Cleocin, etc.
Mine comes in a tube, its the gel not the lotion. Dunno which works better or whats the difference. As for the doxycycline, its a pill taken to kill bacteria. My derm looked at my face for about 2 mins, then prescribed doxy and clinda, and they have worked great.
