everenoughslee - It sounded strange to me, too. We have no clue what could be causing this.
I've been doing neurofeedback for other issues and when the pollens and molds are high, my delta (sleep) brainwaves are also high. The neurofeedback therapist downtrains those, but she hasn't done that enough to show any results yet.

I keep hearing that allergic symptoms are a result of your nervous system getting into a habit and that you can "re-train" it to not respond to the pollens, etc. I don't know if the neurofeedback will help with the "retraining", but I'm willing to give it a try.

Re: Does this sound like allergies?

Hi froggietcu!
The original symptoms listed:
- headaches right behind the nose
- swollen lymph nodes
- difficulty concentrating
- fatigue
sound like ones I experience, and I don't have a runny or congested nose either. It is definitely allergies and the only solution I can find that helps at all is a nose spray, called Nasacort and/or Sudafed decongestant (the little red pill). Also, winter's are the worse. I wish you success in helping DH.

Re: Does this sound like allergies?

Thanks for all the replies. DH saw an allergist this morning. He agrees it doesn't sound like allergies, but gave him some nasal spray like tracytrish mentioned. He said to try it for a couple of weeks and see if it helps.

carrielynn - The neurofeedback sounds very interesting. That would be great if you can 'retrain' your body's reaction to things like pollen. I'm an allergy sufferer myself (with traditional symptoms), so I may check that out for myself!
