Zithromax, side effects from Antibiotics?

Zithromax can cause a mean case of the poopies.
It's a great antibiotic though, and it's nice that you only have to take it for five days. But it can upset your stomach.

HHHaaaahaaa the poopies? It is nice though, that 5 day schedule!

Well i had major problems with a z-pack, in fact one started problems that have now lasted for almost six years. I had to take one for strep, and it caused some stomach upset, that turned into ulcerative colitis. That's not common, but they can cause some problems, if you are senstive to them. But unless you are having bleeding, you are problem ok!

Wow, well, it goes to show you, some of the newer drugs can be a bit testy on some people, that really sux!

Actually, the last time I needed antibiotic some years ago, I asked if I could have amoxicillin, an older antibiotic that I never had a bit of trouble with, even though Z-pack didn't bother me, I prefer older drugs because they just seem less of a hassle.

My doc didn't seem to mind my request. I didn't like taking it for 10 days though...
