Pravachol and weight loss

My wife took Pravachol for about 4 months, but has been off of it for about a year. She's had bad muscle pains since, plus heavy duty weight loss, mostly it seems, muscular. Dr's go DUHH and give no assuring info or answers. Her recent blood work appears norm, but she's lost 60 lbs since july '04; that's over 1/3 of her body weight. Has anyone had a simular exper? It's very very scary, and it doesn't seem to be stopping. ????
