Very Worried---please Read

Have any of you gotten pregnant while using the birth control pill Ortha tri cyclene lo???? I was on the birth control board....and there are alot of women on there saying they got pregnant on this pill.

I am taking it and am now sooo worried. Have any of you taken the pill in the past and it has been successful?

I would appreicate your replys. I would hate to think I am safe taking this pill and then have an unplanned pregnancy.

I think it all depends on the person taking it. I was taking it, with much success, matter fact, after I stopped taking it, it took me 5-6 months to get pregnant lol. So it worked well for me. good luck

Thank you for your reply----how long were you actually on it? And you were in fact on the lo?

Ive known a few people to get pregnant on various pills, one was ortho-tricyclen (not lo). They said they took it for a year, some 2, and suddenly got preggers! I dont know. Nothing works 100 percent.

I think that most women who get pregnant on the pill are either not taking it exactly right, even if you miss a day, it can lower the effectivenes. I took Ortho for a while, but had bad side effects, so went back to Triphasil, which I was on for 11 years, and never got pregnant. Anyway, I did get pregnant about two days after stoppign taking it, but that was because I had just gotten off steroids and being extremely sick, and I also take a medicine that can lower the effectiveness. Alot of women either don't know or forget that lots of meds, and certain health disorders (ie...overweight, seizure disorders, extreme sickness) can cause the pill to be less efective.
