Question Fatigue, brain fog & shortness of breath

Hi,
I recently moved from the north to the south and my allergies are so much worse here in the south! Of course mold is now my primary culprit but I have never felt this bad from my allergies.
After reading some of the posts on this board, especially the one on brain fog, I don't understand why they can not come up with something that will give allergy sufferers some relief. I suffer from EXTREME fatigue, shortness of breath, which also causes my heart to beat faster and this brain fog. I also get the dizziness in my head, which never happened up north. So bad sometimes I have to lay down. I NEVER felt this way up north. I have been seeing my primary care Dr. and allergist and have been complaining of these symptoms for 9 months now. Yes, they are starting to make me feel like I am crazy because they can not diagnose anything. After testing me for asthma and finding out the shortness of breath is NOT caused by this, my allergist went from telling me to increase my prevacid (acid reflux) to telling me he thinks I suffer from anxiety (which I have never had). When I told the allergist I know my body and these are not my problems he SCREAMED at me that I was denying everything he had to say. YES, he actually screamed and I told him he was not GOD and that he was "guessing" at my problem.
I too, am not a hypochondriac and want some relief from my problems. I am far too young and was in great condition before we moved here and I know the allergies are causing all of my problems. The Dr.'s don't seem to understand and I just don't get it. If enough patients have the same symptoms as many of us, why can they not figure it out? I am tired of going to the Dr. and not getting any relief.
Thanks for letting me vent.

If your doc *screamed* at you, I think it's time to find a new doctor...I think I would at least. Geez...

I definitely stopped seeing the Dr. I also decided to stop the allergy shots because of that and I am mostly allergic to mold and I read that allergy shots for mold allergies are not usually effective. So I put myself thru a month of shots for nothing.

Were you tested for allergies? And what meds are you on? You don't say so it's a little hard to determine what's going on. And what kind of allergist were you going to..ENT, immunologist, etc? Are you in a big city and what are your options?

Re: Fatigue, brain fog & shortness of breath

Yes, I was tested for allergies, that was the reason for seeing the allergist. I was taking Nasonex and Allegra, changed to Clarinex. I have stopped taking all meds because I am trying to figure out the shortness of breath. I am starting to think it was coming from one of the meds. I stopped taking them and I seem to breathe much better, as far as the shortness of breath. I am sure my nose will get congested soon.
Personally, I didn't know there were different types of allergist's. I know he wasn't an ENT doctor. I live in an area that I have access to any type of Dr. I want to see.
