going to the bathroom a lot?

anyone else have the urge to go to the bathroom a lot? I heard that back problems can cause the urge to go a lot? I went to the urologist and I'm fine in that dept. but as soon as I drink anything, I have to go. it is becoming an inconvience at work. anyone else have these problems? or should I go back to the urologist?

Yes, back problems can also cause problems with bladder and bowel control. My spine specialist is always asking if I've had such a problem, so perhaps you should call your back doctor's nurse and let them know what you are experiencing. They may decide they should see you.

Best wishes and let us know what you learn.

kt

I have severe "frequent urges" to go... Dr put me on the "I gotta go, gotta go" meds on tv {DETROL LA} It helps me a lot, however it has a HUGE copay!

I was worried it was due to a gyn or bladder problem, doc told me it was all due to my back and pressure on the bladder from everything being so unstable.

Re: going to the bathroom a lot?

Have you been drinking more, any weight gain, insomina, forgefullness???? There could some hormonal changes....did the urologist do any blood work?? If you are female and changes in your cycles??? If you have any of the above you may also consider checking with a dr who specializes in endocrine disease. At the very least i would call the back dr and see what he thinks....
Please let us know

Re: going to the bathroom a lot?

I'm drinking the same amount, no weight change, I'm only 28 so I hope I'm not starting that change yet!! The dr didn't do blood, but tested my urine and said everything was normal.
I called the surgeon yesterday to see if their was an earlier appt. but the secretary said he only see patients on wednesdays and he sees 70 that day!! I wonder if he is a little too busy for me! I told her I was in more pain and had these new symptoms. she said there is nothing else she can do for me!!
I work at a health insurance company so I hear about Dr.'s all the time. I'm doing some research into other doctors!!
thanks for letting me know about having the urge...I thought I was going crazy!!
