I was on OTC Lo and it made my face more oily and broke out not to mention an even bigger problem, it made me the MEANEST person ever, i was so irritable and rude esp. to my boyfriend, ugh. i think esp. because it was triphasil so the dosages would switch each week and it would make me go crazy. I am now on Lo Ovral and not moody near as much
I have been taking birth control pill for about 6 years... since I was 14! (It was for my acne!) I have been on a few - Ortho Tri Cyclen, Desogen, Ortho Lo...I would stick with each one for a good year and a half to two years. Personally, I never noticed a difference in my skin on any of them. But that's just me, because lots of women go on birth control and it totally saves their skin! It's worth a try though. Good luck.
I hated OTC lo. I was on Allese but I got off of it when I was 20 and I never had any acne before and then all the sudden boom! I had zits everywhere! So I knew I needed to get back on the pill so I tried OTC lo and it was terrible. I was so emotional and my acne got worse! It turned cystic so I hurried and got on Yasmin when my derm. prescribed it. My skin is doing great now. It did a complete turnaround. I really like Yasmin and everyone should try it.
