OH GOD! The topical clindoymcin makes your face sooo oily, it's horrible! You know those Clean and Clear oil absorbing sheets? I go through a pack a week. It's disgusting and to make matters worse, I think the Clindoymcin has stopped working. I asked my Derm. and he said that oily skin is a side affect. I've been on it for a year or so and it's still oily, so for me it wasn't just temporary. I'm going back to the Derm. in a month and I'm asking for some other medicine.

My goodness, I never thought about birth contol. I havre question though, what kind of side effects do you get? Weight gain,etc?
Roxy, hi! Wow, I cant understand why the lotion is soo different! Although still oily, has it cleared up for the most part? And, is it just me, or does it seem really"watery"? It is really annoying! Thanks so muh for the responses, I really appreciate it!

has anyone else had their skin flare up after a while of using clyndamycin topical lotion? mine was fine for ages - months - and then recently its started getting bad again. i figure i might try oxytetracycline again...

I have been using Clindamycin for probably 2 years now and I love it! I use the dabber (clear solution) that is applied by dabbing all over the affected areas. The solution is awesome and lasts me quite a while. The poster who claims the price is so high is probably paying for the Cleocin T solution I am to assume. (?) The bottle I get costs me $18.00 and it is about the size of a trial size shampoo bottle. I don't use moisturizers because once this stuff goes on it seems to moisturize very well for hours. It does a nice job of clearing acne but not always. With any antibiotic it takes time to see improvement. I use the Clindamycin now maybe every other day. I have been laying off of it for a while now just in case my skin or body is building a resistance to it. Good luck. Hope this info helps.
