Re: 40 days today

I want to say thank you as well...your inspiration, advice, etc. has helped me more than you really do know. It has been 26 days for me opiate free...Its been a little tough for me, but I am proud to say that with strong love, support, and guidance, I have done okay. I still though keep looking at it as "Each day will get better". My main problem though has been the anxiety of the whole situation...which in any case, isnt much fun.

Thanks again for your inspiration!!!
Katie

Re: 40 days today

I want to thank all of you here on this site, I thank you for your kind words and your support, I really feel that we're a family here on this site even though we have never met one another, when some one here is feeling bad and having an awful day I feel bad for that person, this is one great site, glad I found it 43 days ago because it made all the difference in the world in my recovery.

Re: 40 days today

Congratulations. You are an inspiration to me.

I am began my taper from percocet Saturday and plan to be at zero pills by this Saturday. My husband will be home to baby me. I have the "recipe" posted for cold turkey from pain meds that I saw on this site. I printed it. I have the magnesium and B vitamins and have L Lyasine ? I have it written down and I have xanax from before. I have been on percs for over a year for fibromyagia pain. I am mostly just stiff and achey like the flu today. Oh, and I am getting the imodium just in case. I have flexeril for at night to help me sleep. I plan to sleep and rest the first 2 days I am at zero. And soak in a hot tub. Any other suggestions?

Thanks. Donna

Re: 40 days today

Hi Donna,

Only advice I can give you is that for you to remain strong, to me that was the hardest thing for me because I wasn't strong the first few days, so then I told myself that I must be strong and positive or I wouldn't succeed my quit, don't dwell on the moment, find you something to do, go for a drive, vist some one who you love, do whatever it takes to get you through the moment, at night before you go to sleep tell yourself that you made yet another day, this will make you stronger, I know some of this sounds simple but beleive me it does make all the difference in the world.
Come here as often as you can and let us know how your day was good or badI wish you the best and that God help you get you through this because we can win such a big battle alone.

day 43 4Me
