I'd use a monophasic, as there is less chance you'll spot on that since the hormone levels remain constant throughout the pack. You could use Marvelon, Demulen, Nordette, Ovral...pretty much any monophasic should work. If there is a Provincial or regional health clinic near you you could try calling them and going in to see them. They usually deal with a lot of young people and get many wanting to skip periods, so they may have some more suggestions for you. I know that in most Provinces, the clinics are for each region, and usally part of that region's department of health.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm actually on Marvelon right now. I'm on my 4th week and so far it's been working...only some spotting. But I'm thinking I want to switch because this particular pill has not been good for my skin

What about Diane-35? It's a monophasic pill, and I heard it's good for your skin...

Diane 35 was actually meant for reducing acne, and not indicated as birth control. But then someone figured out it could work as both. However, studies suggest that Diane 35 carries a much higher risk of blood clots.

You could try Ortho-Cyclen, as it has the same hormones in it as Ortho Tricyclen, only in monophasic form.

Yeah, that may be a good idea. Is Ortho-Cyclen good for acne though? I was on ortho tri cyclen and loved it for my skin (except there would be no use going back on it to skip periods since it's triphasic).

If you found that Ortho Tricyclen was good for your skin, then I bet Ortho Cyclen would be as well, as they have the same progestin, only one is triphasic, the other monophasic.
