Unhappy any idea what this could be?

I'm a 21 year old Caucasian male; 6' tall; about 5-10 pounds (185) overweight at the moment suffering from what I think has to do with the heart and/or circulatory system.

The onset was sudden:

First - Fast heartbeat + a horrible head-rush which I'd say was a cross between Vertigo/Migraine (butterflies in my head)
Second - Weakness
3rd - Numb fingers/palm and feet

I collapsed on the floor and managed to dial 911. They brought me to the hospital and hooked me up to an ECG machine. My pulse was 150 and my blood pressure - 160/100.

I was given some Lorazepam (Ativan) to "calm me down" and was promptly sent home after my heart-rate went down to 95 from what I remember.

It has been 4 weeks since that "attack" and I'm still experiencing these symptoms:

Fainting/Dizzy Spells (especially when exerting myself)
Chest/Upper Abdominal Pain
Pounding/Pulsating heartbeat (head, abdominal and hands - especially when lying down)
Weakness
Tingling & Cold Fingers
Tingling Left Ear
Pressure Headache from behind (starts at neck and goes around to ears)
Stiff Neck
Blurry Vision

These symptoms are all worse when standing up or upon exertion.

I am due to have an EMG (Nerve Conduction Test); MRI and Blood Glucose Tests done to rule out Diabetes. If anything I think the MRI should be accurate in showing any disease?

Any other tests that can be done?

I'm thinking it may be a blocked artery (circulation issue) above my heart since only my hands are tingling.

Any idea what it could be?

If your current doctor does not find the cause, see a cardiologist.

DO NOT wait anymore, that sounds like too many symptoms to be experiencing all at once. I'd go to the ER.

It could also be anxiety/panic disorder. I have this and the symptoms are quite similar. I thought I was haivng heart problems and went through all the tests but everything came back normal. I now take Xanax to calm me down and am currently going through therapy which is a big help.

I'm def thinking that you may have hypertension (High BP) and you may need to go on meds and work on weight and diet. Good luck!
