Post Nasal Drip

I have some questions about Post Nasal Drip since i had it about 2 months and i have not done anything about it except consulting my physcian and he gave me some pills for it . Still no results or recovery, it has gotten a bit better, not that much irritiation. Does POst nasal drip go away with time ? Do you wait? I don't think seeing an ENT docter is necessary, So PLz , anyone who knows about this reply.

Re: Post Nasal Drip

I have suffered from post-nasal drip on and off throughout my life. My doctor finally prescribed some Flonase which is a steroidal nasal spray. It has helped a lot, but it's not completely gone. You might ask your doctor if this might be helpful to you. Oh, and drinking plenty of water helps too.

Re: Post Nasal Drip

Taking an antahistamine and taking Mucinex (over counter) will help post nasal drip. Elevating head of bed should help too. Irrigating sinuses with salt/baking soda solution will help keep allergen washed out and is healing. You can use 1 cup boiled water, 1/2 teaspoon plain salt, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda (optional), stir to dissolve, strain thru paper coffee filter, fill clean nasal spray bottles. Hang head off bed and squirt a few squirts solution into nostrils, massage cheeks under eyes, turn head slowly side to side, say kkkkkkk while getting up to prevent solution draining down throat, wait a little bit and then gently blow nose. Do this morning and night. This has worked for many people and was approved by my doctor.
