Re: Metallic taste

ncgirl88,

You mentioned an infected root of a tooth...do you have more info on the symptoms of that other than the metallic taste?

Purple2067,

You mentioned yeast. Are you talking about yeast infection that women get? If not, can you give anymore symptoms other than the metallic taste as well?

Trishydishy,

How is your BF doing? He is in my prayers. When did he start to get symptoms and what all did he ignore and what made him finally go to a Dr?

Thanks everyone!!!!

Re: Metallic taste

I have had a metallic taste in my mouth for a while now and have seen my doctor. He thinks it may be due to a lack of vitamine b12 and iron so he suggested that i take a daily vitamine.Im still waiting to see if it helps, but you should see your doctor many things can cause it but it can also be a symptom of a disease. You can also check out www.webmd and search for mouth problems noninjury it has some info on it

Re: Metallic taste

I had a metallic taste in my mouth for several months. I don't know which problem I had caused it, but it is gone now. I also had been taking quite a bit of ibuprofen due to pain from several things.

I was anemic and had stomach inflammation as well. Dr. put me on iron pills, and Protonix. I am not taking the OTC pain meds either now. I had already been taking a multivitamin with lots of vitamin B in it. A lot of other minerals too.

I had mentioned it to my chiropractor. He asked if it tasted like copper? I said no, but really don't know what sucking on a penny tastes like. I didn't find out if the copper taste he mentioned was related to the iron deficiency anemia or not or if it would be caused by some other problem.
