Angry I can't Believe this!

To refresh: I was taken off four med's for a rash or hives or something.

Dermotologist said it was a allergy to a med.
Rash went away after 2 weeks.

Started back on the Prandin ( for diabetes). Was on it for two weeks,- no rash. Then introduced Lipitor for cholesterol.

Five days later I broke out in a rash. Took 2.5 weeks to clear up again.

Was put on Starlix which is in the same class as Prandin. I have been on the lowest dosage for over a week. I have had not rash, but am itching like crazy.

Now, when I put moisturizer the itching goes away for 2-3 hours. Then it comes back. I just took a shower and applied mostureizer. I know right now that by bedtime I will be icthing again.

If anyone can answer this one, then you need to become a doctor. - sam ( forgive my spelling)

Re: I can't Believe this!

Sounds like to me there is issues with your Diabeties drugs and your Cholesterol drugs that are bothering. Especially if you were fine off the cholesterol drug. I would suggest asking your doctor for a different kind of cholesterol drug and see if that helps.
