Re: Norvasc: Tell us your experience please.

Norvasc, 10 mg. at first then 5 mg., for me was an experience like amphetamines. I couldn't sit still and was running around dawn til dusk.
Unfortunaltely I can't judge it's effect on sexual prowess because I was prescribed it with 50 mg. atenolol...and we all know what THAT does for WOOD...think toothpicks or sawdust !

A month of excited energy followed by nights of severe insomnia left me feeling like the WALKING DEAD!

BP control was fairly poor. I stopped both, got my STENT and went backn on the thiazide-ARB.

I had this very same reaction to 10 mg. I didn't try reducing the dose; this was clearly not a drug for me.

Re: Norvasc: Tell us your experience please.

Hello Lenin,

This is my third day and I don't feel any side effects except Impotence , it's not just effecting my ability or reducing it, it's killing it 110%.
I don't know what I have to take an ACEI ??
Thanks,
Michael

There is no basis for Novasc giving you ED..none at all. It doesn't have any negative effect on blood flow to the penis..NONE. In fact, theoretically, it may help...DILATING blood vessels. Are you aware that VIAGRA was first develped as as a BP MED to DILATE blood vessels? It didn't work very well as an overall BP lowering drug (it does lower BP a bit though)...but turned out to be SPECIFIC for DILATING blod vessels in th PENIS!

Oh then maybe it's the 2.5 years of being on Zebeta then 9 months on Ziac that caused the ED??
Thanks,
Michael
