hi, i suffer from histadelia and ive read the big post on it. last week i suffered a nut allergy and had to go to hospital for adrenaline and hydrocortisone. the doctor gave me prednisolone which is a steroid. one of the side effects is acne and im just worried about whether i should take them or not as the nut reaction has definitely past now.
I was on prednisone to calm my acne down before a dance, and as long as they are taken at a low dose ( mine was 2.5 mg) for 1-2 weeks its fine, otherwise it is a very powerful and dangerous drug and can cause bad side effects including acne. I would check out other meds before taking prednisone for a long time. Good luck!
