"Throat closing up from use of Advair or nebulizer?? doc confirms this

Hello everyone I just came form the doctor, I asked him about some choking sensations i am having while on inhalers, i mean i feel like my throat is closed up havent been able to eat for 2 days and feel horrible, the other day as i was eating i almost choked, it was very scary, now all I have is that fullness in my throat, what can i do i am on advair, albuterol and also I use the albuterol in my nebulizer, I think this started after using advair, since I have been on it for a short time i will look up the side effects of each but something is causing this.

I had the same reaction to Advair. Problem is that the ingredient in Advair is also in Flovent, Flonase and others. So if you need asthma medication make sure it doesn't contain Fluticasone. I am on Pulmicort and have not had that reaction.

Advair is a dual inhailer which contains Flovent & Serevent. Do you know if this ingredient is also in Serevent? Is it possible to take something like singulair or Accolate along with Serevent to get similar benifits such as from Advair? Do you rinse your mouth & throat out after using the Advair as recommended? Just wondering if this helps at all.

Hope you find something that works and doesn't cause this for you soon.
