Unhappy Switching from brand name to generic BC

Just another question. I suffered from acne as an early teen (now 29) Thanks to tetracycline, we got it cleared up and I never really had problems other than basic PMS acne.
I have been on maybe 4 types of BC in my almost 12 years on it with relatively no change. The last few years, I have been on Low estrogen Mircette. Recently I changed health care providers and had to switch to Kariva, the generic brand. Since the switch two months ago I have had what looks like prickly heat (small red pimples) all over my chest and neck. I was very sick at the beginning of the switch and waas prescribed Zithromax, at first I thought they were heat pimples from having a fever, but I have been better for over a month and a half.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Is my only option to shell out of pocket for the Mircette?

Re: Switching from brand name to generic BC

Normally generic versions of brand medications are exactly the same as the brand medications themselves... So my guess would be that something else is the cause...
