Moxie,

I was always wondering about your signature!!

My dream is to go to someplace like the Florida keys and just become a beach-bum... All I need is a cooler of cold Corona, some lime, and an internet connection!!!

Sounds like a nice place. Alot of hubby's family are in FL., even my son is down there at nursing school, but hubby won't go down. He doesn't like the heat and humidty, so he should be happy today, we got us a bunch of snow.

Wish I had enough $$$ to go somewhere for the winter and then back here for summer. Oh well, such is life.

So I am assuming U are still taking the Zetia???? How long have U been on it, and what else did U try? Sometimes one thing will work, and something else won't. I have never tried the Zetia, but did try the Welchol, that was yucky and made me feel like a bloated whale, that is when I said enough already, and tossed that in the pail too.

Oh well, hope ya have a great day, enjoy the warmth, and TTYL...

I hear ya JJ,

FL is too humid for me also. As for the types of meds, Lescol, Pravachol and a few others that escaped my mind I bought the welchol too many pills to take and took it for like 3 days and stopped. As for the ZETIA...I hate thie side effects my mind is gone and I drop things left and right and this was why I went off of it before. Plus my eyes feel heavy and sleepy. I saw Dr. Nicholas Perricone on PBS yesterday about inflammation and he made alot of sence about omega 3s and eating salmon also taking glutamine. I eat salmon a few times a week but he says to eat it more than that and take supplements. I'm not sure what to do I hope this zetia fog subsides soon I cannot take it. I'm used to being at the top of my game and I feel like a multiple moron lately..HEEHEE, Lisa

I have never been down there but hubby was when he was in the service, but all he remembers is the humidity. Neither of us are fond of the cold either, so unless we hit the lotto, we are stuck with it. Oh the joys of being poor......LOL I couldn't handle that Welchol at all, the pills were huge, and it really bloated me to the point I almost looked preganant, so after about 5 days I said bye-bye to those suckers too.

Hubby gets alot of small magazines from the VA, AARP etc. and I read them myself. Last night he showed me one that had a big article on green tea. I love the stuff, but he hates it, but like I told him, at least he is doing the oatmeal, cinnamon and extra vitamin C, so 3 out of 4 isn't bad.

Oh well, just see how it goes with the Zetia, and if it gets too frustrating, tell the dr. and ask to be taken off if it is bothering U that much. God, seems like we spend so much time trying to please our drs. and also keep ourselves healthy, we don't get to enjoy life at times. Take care, do what U feel is best, and it will somehow all work out.

Enjoy the day, it is freezing up here, icey this a.m., and a big storm on the way for later....OH JOY!!! TTYL.......
