Thanks everyone. I spoke with the doctor and he wanted me to stop taking it IMMEDIATELY. I didn't post the "additional" side effect because I didn't give it much credit when thinking of Vytorin, but I was having "white vision" (no clue what to really call it). It was as if headlights were shining in my eyes and everything and everywhere I looked it was just WHITE. Very strange feeling.
Anyway, I stopped the Vytorin yesterday. My doctor was going ot call in a prescription for Crestor, but I asked if I could try herbs for a while. I thought that I'd do a lot of research and try that, and he said "sure" and I'll get started on that and he'll check my cholesterol levels again in 3 months.
Someone had asked what my HDL/LDL levels were.....I don't recall, but I think I am going to call the office back again today and have them fax a copy to me or at least tell me again what my numbers were and I'll write them down.
I'll probably start a new thread on that to see what others suggest or have tried with success.
