Exclamation atrovent use

i have had asthma for many yrs. it always gets out of control this time of yr. w/ cold air & being inside so much. my question is does atrovent help a great deal? i am using albuterol, advair, singulair & have started using my nebulizer again. any info. will be very helpful.

DS uses both albuterol and atrovent in his nebulizer. It's my understanding that albuterol is more fast acting, while the atrovent effects last longer, to help open up things a little better.

I don't know how it works, but my pulmonologist had me on it for a long time. I hated it because it tasted like cleaning fluid or something very chemical. It did seem to help. My MIL also took combivent which has both of those meds in it. It seemed to help her.
