Re: SCARED-please help, 3 year old asthma out of control?

I have just read the posts and want to offer my story. I have been through all the same treatments with my son: Zyrtec, Singulair, nebulizers with albuterol, xopenex, countless antibiotics, vaporizers, dust-mite proof bedding....you name it....we had CF testing, ct scans, x-rays and it goes on until one day I went to a new pediatrician. My son had constant coughing, wheezing, nasal drainage, choking on phlegm....barium pudding like stools and I was nowhere. Then this man looked at him and told me something that no other doctor or specialist had mentioned. He said "This boy is allergic to dairy" Immediately I took him off cow's milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, eggs etc and within four days it was as if he had never been sick. Of course I am thrilled but I am so BITTER AND ANGRY that no doctor or specialist before had even entertained the idea of him being allergic to dairy. My neighbor who has a 3 year old daughter with asthma is doing this also. I know it may not be the answer for everybody but darn it I have spent so many anxious moments, days and nights fretting for my boy...I hope this helps someone out there. Do the research on dairy....some of it isn't pretty.

Even those doctor's did the CF testing, that's why I don't understand why Melanie's doctor's won't. I admit the chances are she doesn't have it but you never know.

We tried the Dairy idea with my daughters and it didn't make any difference but still, it is definately worth giving it a shot! Bond, I understand why you would be upset, it's hard watching your child suffer when all a doctor had to do was try something a little outside the box.

Sometimes, the answer is simple but uncommon. Why some doctor's aren't willing to test for those things is beyond me. They simply say, no that can't be it...... rather than ruling it out by testing or even trial and error. It is frustrating to say the least.

Re: SCARED-please help, 3 year old asthma out of control?

Have you ever heard of Microcurrent frequency therapy?
I had infections for over 2 years.
I was on antibiotics and vicoden, and no lab test showed any abnormalties.
The sad thing is they can only test the functionality of specific tests like cirrosis, or a specific pathogen. They miss much.
I grind my teeth as well.
Turned out I had a jaw bone infection which was remedied with a scenar that I purchased. The scenar will also help with the asthma. A jaw bone infection will not be helped by antibiotics. There is not enough blood circuation in that area to be affected. If she has a jaw bone infection, as soon as she is off the antibiotics the jaw will reinfect the body. An over burdened immune system causes asthma and allergies.
You would be amazed what a electrodermal EAV testing will come up with.
Mine showed parasites, bacteria, fungal, and viral infections.
I was treated successfully with microcurrent frequency therapy.
Do a search on Sceanar and Microcurrent therapy in your area.

Re: SCARED-please help, 3 year old asthma out of control?

I looked Microcurrent Freqency Therapy up and it really didn't seam to fit with the asthma/pulmonary problems that I'm familiar with, at least in my girls cases. It seems to deal alot with Pain therapy. I know my mother has a TENS unit but it's used for pain therapy. Not even my youngest daughter with the worst asthma needs any pain medicine or pain therapy. Just My Opinion.

Re: SCARED-please help, 3 year old asthma out of control?

I really think I am onto something too. They gave me a generic form of the msds sheet. I got very little from it. Here is what I got from it: Green apple electric/battery mixure of branch chain saturated aliphatic hydrocarbons. This material is a mixture of aroma chemicals, essential oils and natural extracts, the exact components are trade secrets and are withheld. Materials to avoid: avoid strong oxidizing agents and excessive heat. Whatever that means.
inhalation-non toxic
medical conditions generally agravated by exposure NONE KNOWN!

That is all I got. Let me tell you does this sound like it would set of an asthma attack because to me i t does. It is the only thing that makes sense anyways and has stayed the same in the school through there move and everything.

I truly beleive this is what is doing it. Anyways I called the main co. up today asking for the chemicals again. I told the lady the story and she argued with me and said this product does not cause allergies. I said how do you know this was it tested and proven. I am starting to get mad at this point. She never answered she said hold on and passed the phone call. A guy got on and basically after talking a couple mins he said there is two ways to get the info I need. A state of emergency-which I beleive this is one or the doctor and sign a release paper. So I called the allergist. I won't know anything till tomorrow. I guess it will take a couple days and our appt is tomorrow.

If what I am onto is right-my little baby might get better..

She is doing very poorly right now. The congestion is ouut of this world. During the day she has the asthma cough and at night she wheezes and the sleep apnea is horrible. I am so scared I can't sleep. God I pray this is it. We need some rest with all this.

Her surgery date got moved to jan 13 one day after her 4th birthday.
