Re: Kevin Trudeau's book - Natural Cures - questions about the Candida cure

DTemple, I noticed significant improvement in just a few days. I also did not suffer from any die-off effects. I have read horror stories on the internet from the side effects when the yeast die off. I was really suprised that I didn't have any side effects. When I asked the doctor about this he told me that by taking the anti-fungal you greatly reduce those effects. After a month I was not making anymore inprovements so I stopped the anit-fungal. The doctor recommended that I continue to take the pro-biotics and digestive enzymes (I don't know if the enzymes helpe with the candida or not but they seem to help with my energy levels.) and off course continue to avoid the refined carbohydrates while slowly adding back other foods. I don't know if 1 month is typical or not. I know I read in the literature from the doctor that it can take up to six months on the diet for complete results.

The anti-candida diet I followed was pretty standard from what I have seen on the internet. No refined carbohydrates. No sugars. No foods with yeast in them. No artifical sweetners except xylitol. No fruit or fruit juice for the first 2 weeks, after that you can add fruit back in one at a time to see if you tolerate them. No peanuts, mushrooms, or cheese (cottage cheese is okay.)

Question for Betsy Ann....

BedtsyAnn,

You said that you did your candida diet for one month. Did all the improvements stay with you after the month was over?

I look forward to your reply. Thanks

I was symptom free for about 5 months then mid November I started eating crappy-- refined carbohydrates and lots of diet coke--I was also getting very little sleep (the reason I "needed" the diet coke.) I also got distracted and quit taking the probiotics. I stated getting some pain in my "arthritic knee", tender spots on my sides when lying down, and some heartburn. All of the symptoms were very slight compared to what they had been previously, but I don't want to go back to where I was. I am currently following the same protocal again. Hopefully I have learned my lesson about poor eating habits. Perhaps if I would have followed the strict protocol longer I would have been more resistant to a reinfection, however, I think I would have been fine if I had maintain good habits.

Re: Kevin Trudeau's book - Natural Cures - questions about the Candida cure

Betseyann, If you research Nizoral, which I just did, it can have some serious side effects including liver toxicity and it has caused some deaths. The warnings alone were enough for me. I can't consider taking it for myself. I guess I need to keep searching for the right Candida protocol. The one in Kevin Trudeaus book is very expensive.

DTemple, I can totally understand your position. I did have my liver function tested before I started the Nizoral and after 1 month. All was well. I do not regret taking it. I feel so much better than I have for 15 years. I do hope that you are able to find a protocal that you feel comfortable with and that works well for you. Have you done any research on ThreeLac? It is a combination of probiotics and enzymes that is supposed to work very well. I have read reports that some people get good results using it even if they do not follow a special diet.
