HELP CANt SWALLOW FOOD I am going crazyyyy!

I cant swallow and am going crazy... I have not eating for almost 3 months because of an LPR acid problem, first I almost choked on meat one day and i didnt realize that, my throat/larnx was very irritated, and it took the doctors 2 montsh to figureout what was wrong with me, and now i cannot eat, aside form being scared/anxiuos my throat feels so clogged up, i mean i feel so upset i cannote at and i am about t lose my mind, i am drinking ensure and wonder howlongi will last, please someone tell what to do i am so stressed, i would just like to know if anyoen else has had this problem, doctors are terrible they diagnosed me with so many things and it was all false, it was just acid, and after they stretchjed my esophagus 2x in a month and put me on nexium i still cant eat, please if anyone has advice let me know thanks

It will take time for your esophagus to heal. Ask your doctor how long it should take. If after that period of time you do not get better, get a second opinion. If there is a medical school in your state, if in USA, go there for a second opinion. Medical school physcians usually are up on the latest ways of treating patients.

From my own experience, the fear of choking, or throat closing is enough to make it do just that. If your throat has healed, try something soft, mushy to learn how to eat again. I find drinking a hot drink before each bite will help relax the esophagus.

HI misty, i actually have an appt with the cleveland clinic on thursday, but at times i get very anxious about this, its probably th worst thing that has ever happened to me, even my chest hurts from the stress i am under i do hope they offer some help, thanks
