Re: Asprin is a godsend!!!

I have never tried the aspirin mask and I have just learned about it today, boy, the things we acne sufferers do in desperation...I really worry about the aspirin mask, personally, since you are using sometimes 8 pills altogether..every day...and everything we put onto our skin is absorbed into our bloodstream, remember this....my gut instinct says that short-term it might be alright but do not use this long term, please. Be careful with this.
If you like this idea I suggest using a much gentler approach...Aubrey Organics Combination-oily bluegreen algae +milk thistle mask...It's completely all natural and contains kaolin clay to draw out impurities and excess oil plus active enzymes to help again with the sloughing off of the dead skin cells, which is what the aspirin mask does and why it works....but it is balanced with natural aloe vera, shea butter and jojoba oil and a whole list of other soothing, calming herbs, so it will not dry out your skin too much and is very refreshing and is very cooling for inflammation and it shrinks the blemishes and helps them heal faster...
plus with this alternative, you're not taking 8 pills of aspirin each day, yikes.

Re: Asprin is a godsend!!!

I don't think it is too big of a deal, it's not like we are swallowing 8 pills at once, it's only getting within the pores and probably doesn't effect the bloodstream too much I would think. Even if so, it isn't that bad for your blood to thin like that temporarily, just as long as you aren't popping 30 Aspirin a day, heh. I'm going to give it some time, but I'm actually thinking the combination of aspirin mask, following up with apple cidar is beginning to work. I'm also doing the digestive system cleansing for the intestines with Activated Charcoal and Psyllium Husks. I'm hoping a combination of these things will help my skin. I'm slowly beginning to see improvement. Hopefully it keeps up. My skin is extremely stubborn .

I don't know about doing it everyday, maybe people shouldn't. But since 90 percent of it gets washed down the drain, I hardly think anyone doing this is getting 8 aspirin into their bloodstream.

In addition, everything put on our skin is not absorbed into our bloodstream. Some is, but if absorption through skin was such an efficient method, why would 99 percent of medications be oral?

Anyway, the aspirin I've been putting on my forehead hasn't been preventing my usual headaches.
