Hi,

Talk to your doctor. These are side effects of Adderall. It took my son 6 months to get used to the medication, however his dosage had to be adjusted three times to get it right. Side effects shouldn't be ignored, especially when they can be helped.

Hello, I have been on adderallxr 20 mg for about a year now and have lost 85 lbs. which is a good thing since i was overweight. But i have NO appetite whatsover to this day, I have no cravings for food and literally have to force myself to eat..i know what your going through the bad part is i never got my app back....Doc says as long as im eating ill be ok. and he also said its a lifestyle change...I also have very bad socxial anxiety disorder and has since worsened with the adderall

Adderall is composed of Amphetamine salts, the same ingredrients used in the hardcore diet pills. Loss of appetite is one of the goals of a diet drug. You will encounter the same side-effects

I you continue losing weight, you may want to asking your MD to consider other alternatives which don't suppress your appetite.

SoSweet, Yes, Adderall can cause all of those problems. It sure sounds like it's not a drug for you. Have you made all of the necessary dietary changes? Your diet could be causing all or at least some of the problems that you had before going on the drug.

All psych meds have paradoxical effects - they can cause or exacerbate the very conditions that you take them for.

Have you heard the recent warnings about this class of drug. The FDA is making serious warnings about how Concerta, Adderal, Strattera and Ritalin can cause death due to stress on the heart, even in children. Drug therapy should be a very last resort. Psych meds have not proved safe for many children and adults.
