Good to hear evan. hopefully you miss the initial breakout.. One thing i really liked about the first week was finally getting that feeling back that my skin felt more NORMAL. It's so nice.

I'd like and im sure many others would love if you can also post what day your on and your progess on this thread. Were both on our third course so the title of the thread makes sense

I think im in my initial breakout right now, its very mild. I never ever get any acne anywhere but my face. But right now I have two pimples on my chest. I think that I just don't get really bad initial breakouts, makes me feel lucky thats for sure. Im down to washing my face once a day and not using and topicals or medicated soaps. Most people say wash twice daily but once a day works good for me provided im on accutane.

hey accutane dude, I was wondering how long your previous courses were and then how long you remained clear for in between your treatments for. How bad was your acne when you started your first treatment...did it decrease or was it as bad when you did the second and the third. Thanks!

My 1st and 2nd course were very different. My first one my acne was moderate/suvere and it cleared completely in about 5-6 weeks if i remember right. That was about 3 years ago. I was on for 6 months and then afterwards stayed clear for about another 6 months before it came back. It came back and was pretty bad.. moderate so i went on my 2nd treatment. The 2nd broke me out horribly. I went on for about 5 months then finally my derm said i hit the max amount of accutane you can have in a treatment and i went off. About a month after I went off it started clearing and then when i got benzamycin cream that really helped a lot. I was pretty damn clear but never like the first cycle. I still had to maintain my face change my pillow case every night, constantly was worrying. I think this was my fault though as i did many stupid things to my face in the 2nd cycle. And I was on a ridiculously high dose. 120 mg per day. All my fault i pushed my derm because i was impatient. BE PATIENT, don't touch your face except to wash it and let the accutane do it's work and you'll be fine.
