Question fecal urgency

I am 40 and have a few general symptoms. I have lost almost 50 pounds since summer and I don't know if it has anything to do with this, but I seem to have a real urgency to have bowel movements in the past 2 months. Maybe just two a day, but when I have to go, I cannot wait. They are not diahhrea, but soft and normal. I have had urinary incontinence for many years now. Every once in a while I have really bad cramps up my right side from my waist area to under my right breast. I have been diagnosed with restless leg syndrom and so am on cpap at night and a medication for the rls. I am also on concerta and paxil, but all of this has happened long after my fecal urgency. When I wake in the morning or sit or lay down for a long time, I get pain around my pelvic bones. Why the fecal urgency?

Re: fecal urgency

Have you been trying to lose weight or is it just coming off? I would talk to your dr about it. I know when I first started taking paxil I lost about 20 pounds in a month, but afterward put it all back on...and then some.. I'd get your thyroid checked out...

Re: fecal urgency

A cystocele and a rectocele can cause bowel and urinary problems. Check into them and see if any of the description fit your symptoms. These are not uncommon with women, especially if you have given birth in the past.

I didn't see from your post, but if you are female above would apply.
