Before I started the differin/duac combo I would get cystic acne 2-3xmonth. Now it's more like 1x every 2-3months. Right now, I have one of those big, painful zits that have no head & 1 other that came to a head-it's been a total of 2days & they ARE going away already! Where as before, they would stay for at least a month.
This is a really good combo & I recommend any one to try it before jumping so quickly to accutane.
yeah alot of people say they have used that combo but my doctor only prescribed me differin cream and nothing else... would it be a big deal if i went and got duac now? even if ive been using differin cream for 17 days?
I use Differin Cream at night, and Rosac Cream + BenzaClin Gel in the morning under my makeup.
I have been using them since the beginning of January (I guess 6 weeks) and things are not too great at the moment. I am just getting over 3 huge cysts on my chin/jawline area! I know it is hormonal, but I was hoping the topicals would help counter-act my hormonal acne!
<<Sigh>>, I am also taking Yasmin BCP (in my 2nd month), so it could also be an initial breakout from that as well!
It's hard to know what the problem is when you are on so much stuff to begin with!
Thankfully, I really trust my derm, so I will wait it out for a couple more months and see how things go! I just hope that I am semi-clear by April 8th b/c I am in my best friend's wedding!!!
I hope you clear up in time....just be patient (I know it's hard)!!
If Differin does not work by itself, you might want to ask your derm for a cream with Benzoyl Peroxide in it (Duac and Benza Clin are pretty much the same thing). I think using a topical under my makeup helps keep my pores from getting clogged up! Just a suggestion...I hope your regimen works for you in the long run!
