I don't think my shaking is obvious to others but I've come to notice for example when I'm holding a peice of paper, the paper as well as my hands are quite shaky. I notice this alot more when I'm nervous or anxious but is it considered normal to be shaking even under normal conditions? If not, is there any treatment available for this?
I'm 21 years old and I don't have any health problems.
Thanks

I have the same problem and also worry about it quite a bit. I went to see the doctor about it some time ago because my grandad had Parkinsons disease, and even though I'm only 23 I was worried that I might have it too, or for some reason was likely to get it and it scared the hell out of me.
My doctor was quite reassuring though and made it clear that I didn't have any symptoms of parkinsons (I think I knew this, but paranoia can make you believe anything). Apparently everyone shakes a little bit, it is called "physiological tremor" and I think it's caused by the way our muscles work - they aren't constantly tensed, but the fibres "twitch" at high speed to keep, for example, your arm lifted out by your side. Because of this it isn't possible to keep your arm perfectly still.
I think everyone is different and in some people, like myself, this shaking is just more noticeable. However, if you have any other symptoms then it's always worth seeing a doctor to put your mind at rest. I do notice my hands/arms shake worse, but as the doctor was confident all is well, I put it down to the fact that I use a computer all day and this could explain it. I do use wrist supports and try and maintain good posture, which does seem to help.
FYI my shaking does get worse when I'm nervous or anxious, but as someone else has said, this is again quite normal I think - probably caused by adrenaline making your muscles more responsive.
