I would give it a little time, and if you feel no different, talk to your doc. Before I took my beta blockers, My heart rate was always around 90 and got fast easily. Now it is around 70 all the time--still gets fast pretty easily, but not as fast. It did take a few weeks for this to happen though. Maybe if you don't notice a change, your doc can increase your dose or put you on a different one (I'm on Metoprolol). Also, it might help if you don't pay attention to your heart so much (I do this too). I find my pulse is always elevated when I am checking it every minute
