Re: xanax w/d update:

Dalmane is a benzodiazepine derivative so eventually you will need to look at that issue.

Re: xanax w/d update:

Thanks all! Good luck Donna!! Blasterboy, I think the 1/2 life is 40-200? and the 15 mg = .5 xanax so that bothers' me to be taking a whole 15 every other night,. So last night I split it, hard cause they are caps'. Hardly slept at all, and feel a bit wired this morning. Funny just taking a bit of it made my gastro stuff settle down, god this stuff is brutal! Atleast the xanax is over but don't want to get into another rut with dalmane! So looks like I will fight it with either the splits or go as long as I can between doses?

Kindspirit
I dont want to burst your bubble but dalmane IS a benzodiazepine (Flurazepam) - see Ashton page 6.
The Manual states the the equivalent of 10 mg of valium is = 15 - 30 mg flurazepam
(flurazepam half life = 40 - 250 hours)
How can you ever taper off a capsule like this? Its impossible.
Can you not get hold of valium?
Wishing you the best.
