Ortho-Novum 1/35

I just went to my yearly exam and the doctor switched me from Alesse to Ortho-Novum 1/35. Is anyone else on this? I'd like to hear some experiences and I was wondering if it would make me gain weight or cause my boobs to grow. I gained a little weight and about a cup size with Alesse, which was fine, but I dont really want to again. Thanks!

I am on Orthro Novum 1/35 as well. Hehe, I noticed too, that I don't see many people talking about it. I've only been on it for 2 months but I can tell you what I know. It's also my first type of BCP.

I don't experience a loss in sex drive at all. But the first week I was on it, it was nuts and my emotions were off the chart and it was horrible but that went away quickly. Other then that, my regular side effect is my breasts hurt and they grew. Other then that, I havn't experienced anything else from it.

I just stopped taking Ortho-Novum 1/35. I'd been on Levora for about five years, and it killed libido, so doc thought the O-N 1/35 would help.

Month one -- side effect of moodiness.

Month two -- side effect of breast tenderness in the three weeks before period, but moodiness gone!

Month three -- side effect of really bad cramps before period, but moodiness still gone and breasts weren't sore.

Month four -- migraines week of period

However, all previous side effects were gone. The migraines were enough for me to call doc, get off pill, wait a month or two and then try a non-hormonal IUD. I think most people respond differently to diffferent pills, tho.

Good -- well, more like the fantastic thing is the libido came back with a vengeance almost immediately

I just started with the Ortho-Novum on Sunday, and I've noticed the past few days that I've felt bloated or maybe I'm retaining water. Have you experienced this? I had my period last week and I do tend to get a little bloated with that, but the bloating usually goes away by now. Could this be from the pill already?
