graphicalg,
You have way too much going on for one person!! Hope "everything" improves for you very soon.
What times do you take your morning & evening doses of hydrocortisone (HC)?
You could try splitting the 10mg evening dose by taking 5mg at noon & 5mg in the evening. Many people do take their meds in only two doses, but many of us take it in 3 or 4 doses. Maybe a bit of it at noon would be helpful to you. It is a "long" stretch between morning & evening. HC doesn't last that long.
Is your sodium & potassium being checked every 6 months? What were your last levels? Taking the amount of Florinef you are could lower the potassium too much. I assume there is a good reason you are on so much.
Are you drinking water all day? When I get a bit dehydrated I get a sinus infection. I have water going in all day long to avoid it & only 1 cup of coffee daily. Lots of other reasons to get a sinus infection, but for me water helps.
It would be good for you to get a copy of "every" lab report for a home file. You really cannot rely on the docs as they often say levels are just fine when in fact they are not.
Has your thyroid been checked lately? Your TSH should be under 2 for you to feel your best. It can be "much higher" & the doc will say it is OK. If you are tired all the time & your TSH is higher than 2 you probably would do better by treating it. What's another pill!!! My endo started treating mine when I complained "loudly" about being so tired all the time. I was near the bottom of the range & of course he thought it was just fine. I just had him increase the thyroid med again to get it under 2. It is now 1.3. He would not have done it without me telling him.
Too feel my best, I have learned from others who have addisons to be very involved in my health care & read those lab reports.
