Re: my medications

I'm sorry for what all you have gone through with your family members. How horrible for you. I too had to have a test done actually two, endoscppy and colonoscopy this past dec. I talked to my gastro doc. about this ( filling him in on my PVC abundance) and he called my cardio doc. as well. He himself (gastro doc) said " oh, well you will need a cardio anesthesiologist." Fine with me! Ins. didn't say a word. Of course, I wasn't under general anesthesia. But I was told I didn't have a single PVC! I don't blame you for your worries. They are something I think all of us with PVC's or any heart thing are concerned about. Let us know how things go. Kathy

Re: my medications

stella,

You need some compromise between controlling the a-fib and that low blood pressure. If the a-fib is extremely rare for you, then maybe you can do without the atenolol....NOBODY should medicate down to 90/48.
If it's a FREQUENT thing, then perhaps ANOTHER of the beta-blockers more specific for a-fib is a better choice (like sotalol perhaps.)
Probably people with normal blood pressure should think about avoiding beta-blockers entirely.

For the gall bladder, I STRONGLY recommend you try a gall bladder flush before considering surgery. Look in the LIVER forum in Healthboards for some recommendations. There are also references to liver/gall bladder flushes all over the internet. Surgery should be a last resort. Entirely TOO MANY gall bladders are removed unnecessarily.

Re: my medications

Hi Stellatj,
I'm so sorry for all you have been through. You will find alot of good information from this board, I did.
Can I ask you what they considered a bad calcium score? I had one done a year ago and they said the same to me? Just wondering what yours was.
Mine was 39 in the LAD.
Thanks for you help.
