Re: Mono symptoms?

RainProductions. It is a good idea to get photos of your rashes, it is important documentation. What do your rashes look like? Do you think you could have been bitten by a tick?

I have been exposed to Mono around 3 weeks ago at a Christmas party (the host of the Christmas party was sick with it and still had the party) - anyway, I have been very tired and have been napping during the day - (I have moved into a new house within the last 2 weeks as well)
Does this sound like I have mono as well? And what are the "tell-tale" symptoms of Mono- Epstein Barr??
And what is the recovery???

PLEASE....can anyone share ANY information that they have???

Thanks,

Dear Stephanie,

I'm no doctor but I do know this: any cold symptoms mean mucous in is the body. One of the best ways to get rid of colds or cold-like alment is to do whatever you can to get rid of mucous. Citrus liquids in the body are vital, such as grapefruit juice (best of them all), pineapple juice (better than orange juice) orange juice and fresh lemonaide is good too. Lots of water, and staying away from mucous formng elements, such as milk, breads etc.
I rarely have colds because I hate mucous. Also a nice warm bath nightly, while inhaling the water vapors. In Russia they do this (it works) because it helps to liquify the mucous in the body, as well as be pleasant for you! Hope you feel better soon.

Let me know if you tried it and how you're doing?

Re: Mono symptoms?

I had mono when I was 26. I was sick for months before I actually got the full mono. I'd have spells where I would feel so woozey...one time I even asked my bf to take me to the ER cuz I didn't know what was wrong. I felt like I was dying. I constantly ran a low grade fever and just felt....wrong. I also had no appetite AT ALL during all that time. Finally after about three months I got the throat symptoms. My tonsils were yellow and white puss and my throat hurt really bad. My breath was terrible. I went to my dr. back then and she diagnosed me with mono. I relaxed after I knew what it was. After that, I just mainly slept a lot and had repeated blood tests and was on several meds. After a while my appetite slowly started to come back. My first craving was for gummi bears and I hadn't eaten anything is so long my dad was happy to get them for me. Then I felt kinda fatigued for a month or two after the infection and then recovered finally. Mono is no fun. And I've heard it can recurr to a slightly lesser extent even after you've had it. I don't know if this is so, but I read it in a medical text. No fun at all.

Re: Mono symptoms?

I have a permant fatigued from having mono 2 times. If you think you have mono your best bet is just to go to the dr and have them test.
