Re: light headedness and mild headaches

Hi There,

Hope you both had a good easter. My light headedness is still here (unfortunately) and I have had a mild headache all day today. I'm sure the headache is directly connected to the light headedness symptoms.

I am going to see an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist next month so will let you know if they discover anything. I'm sure that the problem is with my neck and upper back though, even though my doctor is not convinced for some reason - most frustrating!!!

I can't understand why the doctor is discounting this as the possible cause of my problems, even though I have told him that my neck aches!!!

How are the symptoms with you both?

Speak soon!
Robbie.

Re: light headedness and mild headaches

Hello to my dizzy friends. Everything is the same here with me.

Robbie - I totally understand your frustration over your doctor not wanting to listen to you. It is good that you are going to an ENT, but chances are they probably won't find anything. I'm not trying to be discouraging, but I have been through all the specialists out there.

Jen - You said you started feeling better since you started your new job. Any lightheadedness when you're on the computer at home? I know I would feel so much better if I didn't have to sit in front of the computer all day.

I have a follow up with my PCP next week. She had me get some bloodwork done to test for Lupus. I am sure that will all come back negative. I will push some more to try to get these neck issues looked into. She did say that these problems could be coming from my neck, but didn't offer any solutions to the problem.

I hope you both have a wonderful day! Robbie - keep us posted on the ENT visit.

Re: light headedness and mild headaches

Hi Leela and Jen,

I have a couple of questions for you regarding your symptoms.

Do either of you have neck ache, particularly when having the light headedness symptoms? Also, do you have an aches in other parts of the body?

Do you have mild headaches? I tend to have one most days and it is at the front of my head (forehead) and is always to my righthand side. My doctor reckons they are probably tension headaches, caused by tense neck muscles.

I have found that I have aches in my chest, not centrally, otherwise I would
be very worried! No, these aches are more in the pectoral region and wondered whether there could be a connection to my neckache, mild headaches and light headedness. These aches are not there 24/7 like
the ones in my neck, but are irritating none the less.

If either of you have experienced/are experiencing this then I'd be very interested to know? Likewise, if you're experiencing and aches elsewhere then I'd be equally interested.

Take care, and hope to hear from you both soon.

Robbie.

Re: light headedness and mild headaches

Hi Robbie. Yes, I have neck aches and headaches. When they get bad, I take flexeril at night and that helps. I also have pains in my chest. I have had a bunch of heart tests, so I know it isn't heart related. I think it could definitely be referred from my back. My doctor is sending me for another C-Spine MRI. Now she is trying to tell me that the dizziness isn't coming from my neck. I told her to look up the term "cervicogenic dizziness". One of these days someone will give me some answers. I hope you are doing well.

Re: light headedness and mild headaches

HI to both of you

Robbie,
It is so weird that you would mention the headache and neck ache of all times!! For the past 24 hours I have had a headache in the FRONT of my head and on the right side, along with stiffness in neck, when I move it , it cracks SO BADLY!! I thought that maybe I was a bit dehydrated but I've been drinking water ALL DAY and still feel horrible.

Leela,

Sorry your having such difficulties with the docs.. I completley understand!! And I am with you on hoping we find some ease and comfort from this!! It is SOOOOO frusterating, and getting worse. It just seems that I'll have some good days and have high spirits about things, then days like these come and it all goes downhill. Ya know?

Well I'll be praying for the both of you,,'
Keep in touch,, and hope to hear from you soon

JEN
