Question Allegra 180 Alternate Med?

The best med I have found for allergies with the least side effects is Allegra 180. My insurance company has increased my cost of this med from $7 to $34/month. In an effort to save money I switched to Claritin which does not work for me, but only cost $7. Has anyone had good results with the generic Allegra which I think is fexofenidine? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Allegra 180 Alternate Med?

Can you handle Allegra-D? It is Allegra and sudaphed combined. Strangely some insurance companies will cover the D vesions better than the antihistimine only ones.

I wasn't aware there was a generic for Allegra, but if there is, I would definitely give it a try. Most generic Rx's work well for me.

I think it's just available OTC from Canada. But even at that, it's in the same price range as you are paying. Have you tried Zyrtec? You can order it OTC from Canada
(cetirizine) for $29.00 per 90 plus shipping.

the generic Allegra is the same thing without the brand name. That's what I take every day versus the name brand and it works fine. Claritin doesn't work for me either...
