Exclamation Re: Help...nausious all the time

Thank you so much for answering me.

Ok to answer your questions:
-I've been on Xanax for about 13 years for panic. I'm only taking .5 mg/day. I'm also on Prozac (about 10 yrs)
-I did that "look up" thing...and I didnt feel any release, or what I could identify as such...
-as far as tests...iyo, how long should I wait? I'm actually switching insurances (i only work part time, looking for fulltime) b/c mine doesnt cover barely anything. It wont take effect for at least another week.
-I feel like its mucus, phlegm, and crap from my p.n.d...but would that cause such a huge reaction when i yawn? It's like when that part of the throat opens up, I feel like everythings gonna come up. I feel nauseous all the time but its bad when i yawn. i've never thrown up from pnd before so why now? I also feel the nausea in the middle of my chest. But not like a indigestion thing.
-It's been mild for about 3 weeks. Last 2 days, its been worse.

Went to my psychyitrist today (she wanted me to come right in) and she thinks its my anxiety. But the thing is, I didnt get anxious until it got worse.

Re: Help...nausious all the time

You never did say how long this was going on - if it were only a week or so, I'd wait on the tests. And how about an endoscopy? That would show a lot more and it is absolutely NOTHING (I had one in Dec. and was freaking out - but I'd go for one tomorrow again, NO problem!) - I'm sure they'll find nothing anyway, nothing BAD anyway! An irritation definitely could cause that and like I said GERD or mucus BOTH could cause irritation. Hang in there! Let me know how you make out!

Re: Help...nausious all the time

Globus is a symptom of a specific form of acid reflux called LPR (Larygopharyngeal reflux). Most LPR sufferers do not experience heartburn, but instead the acid reflux occurs in their throat, causing 1 or more of the following symptoms: globus, difficulty swallowing/something "stuck" in throat, chronic cough, sinusitis-like symptoms, asthma-like symptoms not responsive to asthma threatments). Note that I said "1 or more", many people get just 1 of these symptoms.

There is a message board here called "Acid Reflux". You should read the posts with "LPR" in the message or do a search on that board for "LPR".

It is treatable with 2 doses per day of a PPI (Prevacid, Nexium, Aciphex), NOT 1 DOSE. Timing is also important - for instance, I must take my 2 Nexium together in the morning, but other people sometimes take 1 in the morning and 1 at at night).

Sunlover:
I did say how long I've had this 2 posts ago:
"It's been mild for about 3 weeks. Last 2 days, its been worse"
I have had an endoscopy done (is that the one where they go down your throat or up the other end? I've had both about 3 years ago, and again 13 years ago; the most recent time, I was awake b/c the doc is a damn moron and I was pulling the scope out of my stomach b/c, well duh, I was AWAKE! It was painful, scary, absolutely terrible)
I had the upper GI series today and that sucked. Wow I almost puked up that liquid chalk. I couldnt even drink it all.

aswander:
Well, if your'e talking about the feeling of a lump in your throat, like when you're crying, that's not what this is.
I feel like my throat will open up and I will puke. Im stifling all my yawns b/c I cannot stand the feeling. Sorta feel like my glands on the side of my throat are close together.
There is constant crap in my throat and chest. I am not coughing, barely at all. I can breathe fine. Just clearing my throat, as Ive always done due the the mucus and chronic rhinitis.

Thank you for insight. Please, if you have any other ideas, post them!
God, I wish I could just be unconscience until this goes away.

Oh, and would an ear nose throat doc be able to diagnose this better?
