I am 43 years old. I have endo and irregular periods (probably perimenopause). I have been taking Lo Ovral for 3 months has still have spotting between periods but the endo pain is some better. My Dr. wants me to have a Mirena IUD inserted to help control endo and bleeding. She says I will have spotting 1 to 3 months (yuck) but after that maybe no periods at all!! Has ANYONE had good experiences with it and does it affect intercourse at all? Thanks
I had the Mirena inserted about 4 months ago and have had nothing but good experiences with it! I did spot a tiny but...hardly anything at all for just a few weeks...but no where near 3 months..or even 1 month! It is not the most pleasent experience getting it inserted...but well worth it!
Can I please ask you some questions? Kinda personal I guess. Does it interfere with sex at all? I mean can you fill it or does it cause any pain with intercourse? Any vaginal dryness? It scares me to mess with hormones, but I do NOT like these BC pills at all. Thank you so much for your help. Crystal<newly wed!
