Has anyone used Pantanol and it cleared there eyes up then it just stopped working?

Well I don't have any goopy stuff in my eye at all in the morning and the benadryl has made it almost completely white. I'm pretty sure it's allergies. I would think benadryl would not help if it was an infection. The plan is to not wear any contacts for about a week until I get some new ones that are disposable and we'll see how that goes. That's the thing I have had an infection in my eye before and there is that goopy stuff this time there is none of that there was just redness and irritation. Also I have never been able to use Bausch & Lomb solutions for some reason. For the last 5 years I have been using Unisol 4 preservative free saline and today I just found out that Lens plus is preservative free to it comes in a can. Then I use clear care no rub disinfection solution. It seems to be going good now we'll see what happens when I get my new contact lenses.

Kari - I use Clear Care too, and preservative/thimersol-free CVS saline solution - neither irritate my eyes like B&L. Glad to hear you're eyes are clearing.

I have serious eye allergies and if it is allergy related I too found that Patanol didn't work. Personally it made it worse. I'm from Canada so I don't know if the same drugs are available, but I would give an oral med called Arius a try and then a drop called Opticrom. I'm pretty sure you can buy that one on line.

Zaditor is another prescription allergy eye drop I got after I tried Panatol for a while. But now, the Zaditor seems like it isn't much either. Watery eyes have been bad for me this year - nothing is helping and it seems like everyone who have allergies are getting hit hard. Taking Benadryl every 6 hrs. seem to help for a while, then Chlor-Trimeton. Clarintin didn't do anything for me, even taking it everyday. Aside from the watery eyes, the skin on the corner of my eyes hurt and the skin looks like crap!

Yeah it seems to be getting bad again. I avoided going outside for a few days and when I did have to go outside just to water my plants I covered my eye with gauze and tape..lol. I put black sunglasses on too so no one could see. It completely cleared up. For some reason it only effects my right eye. So then yesterday and today I had to go to a couple stores and I could feel the hot air on my eye and now it looks horrible again. I'm going to have to find stronger allergy eye drops that's for sure. The Pantanol helps some but you would think there would be something strong enough to clear it up completely. I mean I can't even go outside for 5 minutes without looking like someone punched me in the eye it gets so red. I will look into some of your suggestions.

I've also found that Benadry helps but it makes me feel tired and sick. When I get up in the morning after having it I feel like throwing up.
