Re: Chronic Bad Breath

I'm now using SinuCleanse that I got at Wal Greens (I think CVS and some others carry it also. Don't think Wal Mart does.) I've had trouble breathing consistently through my nose for many, many years. Usually I would wake up and my mouth would be open and my mouth would be very dry. I thought that I would eventually have to have some kind of surgery done to fix the problem. SinuCleanse is a tea pot looking container that you put saline powder in and mix with warm water. You position your head according to directions and pour the water through one nostril and it comes out the other. When the pot is empty you switch nostrils and go through the process again. Its amazing how much better I can breath now....no need for a doctor's visit or surgery. The directions say that its for relief of nasal congestion, sinusitis, allergies, dry air and post-nasal drip. May help with BB because of clearing out the sinuses.

Noptical, Don't know if this is true, but I've read that its only normal to breath through one nostril at a time. The nostrils tend to alernate during the day, and especially when turning from one side to another when sleeping.

Re: Chronic Bad Breath

StevenGn;
I've heard many have used that pot. Does it burn when the liquid make contact w sinus area? I've dumped Sovereing Silver, now Chlorine Dioxide down my sinuses and it really burns, just like when u get water up the nose during swimming, and how long does your congestion stay clear?

Re: Chronic Bad Breath

In my long 4 years with this problem I have tried everything,hydrogen peroxide, tongue scrapers, oxyfresh and nothing seems to work. I’ve seen a lot of doctors too but all seems to be ok. A year ago surfing in the web I came with a page about metronidazole (flagyl), the site reported that it was the cure for an old lady that suffered from bb all her life. I found another page about a man that was cured with that drug too, the drug is an antibiotic that kills only anaerobic bacteria. If you wanna see the reports google “halitosis metronidazole”. I’m writing this because is the only… with “non commercial purposes” cure that I have knowledge so far (not like the evil dr Katz). Anyway it didn’t work for me, maybe it could help to another person.
Now I’m thinking that maybe the problem is the lack of saliva, I never thought that the problem could be that. but we can’t really know if we produce the necessary amount of saliva to sweep all the ****. There’s a drug called pilocarpine (Salagen®).that makes the body produce a lot of saliva and sweating. I’m going to buy it and concentrate in produce saliva. you should do that too and see what happens.

I think that we know more about bb than any doctor because we have to face this hell every day, so we must give more information about ourselves and try to find some connection like blood type and weight: mine is A– and I’m very slim. If you have been working on this problem you’ll know that is not a bad idea to post this information.

Re: Chronic Bad Breath

oceanside, It doesn't burn and I haven't had to use it for the last two days. You tilt your head fully sideways and forehead slighly higher than chin. The solution then doesn't go straght up into your nasal passages where it could possibly cause a burning or uncomfortable sensation. I only use half a packet of saline powder per nostril.

noptical, yes, I believe its the same idea as a neti-pot, even though I haven't actually seen one.
