Day 10 off opiates, went to doctor yesterday

Wow I feel great. I slept about 14 hours last night, after going with pretty much no sleep for 5 days or so. It's amazing what a good nights sleep will do for you

I went to the doctor yesterday, and she was really nice. She prescribed me chlonodine for my blood pressure, that alone has helped tremendously. And then some restoril to take every other night for sleep.

I'm doing great tho every day is a better one. I wish everyone that is going though the same well. and god bless

Don't tell me you look like the bald guy from the TV commerical for MR. Clean! Ha! Ha! I'm sorry but that was all I could think about when I saw your name!

Sounds like you're doing great. Since you're on Day10 , I don't see why you would need restoril but I suppose if you were desperate for sleep- you can take it but again restoril is a benzo and very addictive as well. Just take the Clonodine and that should wipe you out at night. That stuff makes me so so sleepy and lethargic. Good luck!

lol I do have a shaved head. But Mr Clean's got nothin on me Well up until I went to the doctor I had gotten no sleep, and then still couldn't fall asleep last night until I took the restoril. But I'm not going to abuse it, and if I don't feel I need it anymore I will stop. I've never had problems with benzo's, don't like the lethargic feeling. Thanks for the reply!

a big pat on the back MrC,youre now into double figures and it can only get easier,youve got to be thru the worst,daughter says 10 days was a milestone for her,before she had only lasted 3/4 days but after 10 it seemed she had come too far and she felt more empowered over her addiction altho i must say you have been pretty determined from the outset,hope you sleep like a baby,love sda mum

thank you very much mum. today does seem like a milestone, but that may be because I actually got a good nights sleep. I haven't even thought about taking one. actually my parents offered me vikoden on accident, thinking they were Ibuprofen, and I gladly declined, when I could have taken one and no one knew the better. So I think I'm doing great. good luck everyone god bless
