Re: we don't know what's wrong with him

Tick test back and says he doesn't have it.

Did neuro exam today which went well, I guess because she didn't say it didn't. (which included checking his reflexes)

Re: we don't know what's wrong with him

You'r not the only one.I have very semiliar problem, plus also my blood pressure is high and low sometimes, and heart rate is high sometimes too. I passed out couple times, and have that passing-out feeling many times a day. there are tons of things i can name that cause me to pass-out and stuff, but sometimes it just comes by itself. my guesses: He may have a weak heart, I know some people who see blood or something they faint, or maybe nerveous system or something. I also had stool tests done(dont have results yet) cuz my parents thought i have tapeworms or whatever they are called that live in the intestens, due to my bad appetite. about my own illness: my best hope is to pray, cuz I know that what people can't do, God can do, I go to church and stuff and other people also pray for me.

Re: we don't know what's wrong with him

I was wondering if he has been taking any new medicine in the past 2 months?
I know sometimes we have an allergic reaction to medication and they can minic other problems?

Re: we don't know what's wrong with him

hi fallenleaf. I am glad you insisted on getting the Free T tests done for his thyroid.

Do you know which Lyme test was done? I suggest that you get copies of it. No Lyme test is completely reliable and results can vary by lab. It is my understanding that the ELISA or titer is the least relaible and the one most doctors run first.

Below is a Lyme symptom list. You can have any combination of symptoms.

Unexplained fevers, sweats, chills, or flushing
Unexplained weight change--loss or gain
Fatigue, tiredness, poor stamina
Unexplained hair loss
Swollen glands
Sore throat
Testicular pain/pelvic pain
Unexplained menstrual irregularity
Unexplained milk production: breast pain
Irritable bladder or bladder dysfunction
Sexual dysfunction or loss of libido
Upset stomach
Change in bowel function-constipation, diarrhea
Chest pain or rib soreness
Shortness of breath, cough
Heart palpitations, pulse skips, heart block
Any history of a heart murmur or valve prolapse?
Joint pain or swelling
Stiffness of the joints, neck, or back
Muscle pain or cramps
Twitching of the face or other muscles
Headache
Neck creeks and cracks, neck stiffness, neck pain
Tingling, numbness, burning or stabbing sensations, shooting pains
Facial paralysis (Bell's Palsy)
Eyes/Vision: double, blurry, increased floaters, light sensitivity
Ears/Hearing: buzzing, ringing, ear pain, sound sensitivity
lncreased motion sickness, vertigo, poor balance
Lightheadedness, wooziness
Tremor
Confusion, difficulty in thinking
Difficulty with concentration, reading
Forgetfulness, poor short term memory
Disorientation: getting lost, going to wrong places
Difficulty with speech or writing
Mood swings, irritability, depression
Disturbed sleep-too much, too little, early awakening
Exaggerated symptoms or worse hangover from alcohol

Lyme disease can be difficult to diagnose. When Lyme disease is a possibility, it is very important to see a knowledgeable doctor. Many doctors do not understand Lyme and treat with outdated protocols. Besides Lyme, ticks can transmit several co-infections including Babesiosis, Ehrlichiosis (HME & HGE), Bartonella, and Mycoplasma. Many people who have Lyme are co-infected, and it may affect treatment choice and progress. It is important to be tested for these by a Lyme reputable lab such as IgeneX in Palo Alto, CA.

If you would like a doctor recommendation for your area, let me know.

It is also important to learn as much as possible. I recommend reading "Everything You Need To Know About Lyme Disease (2nd edition)" by Karen Vanderhoof-Forschner and Dr. Burrascano's treatment guidelines. He is one of the top Lyme doctors in the country, and many doctors follow his protocols.

Don't give up. You will find out what is wrong.

Re: we don't know what's wrong with him

His resting heart beat has been 104 the last few times it was being checked. And one of the times he was nearly asleep! So I know it's not because he was nervous or upset. His blood pressure seems to be running on the low side also. He is a small but very fit guy. Since he is in good physical shape and only 30 I don't know why his heart is running so fast. The internal medicine doctor really didn't say anything about it.

He wasn't on any medicine when his symptoms first started. About 3 weeks ago they put him on Remeron, it's an anti-depressent w/side effects of sleeping and eating more. Then he started to get uncharacteritically angry and have outbursts. So today is his first day off of that. They don't want him on it anymore, and besides all that, it can lower bloodpressure which can make dizziness worse, (we aren't seeing the doctor that prescribed it anymore.) But we have two good doctors that are working together to help us. (the neuro and internal medicine doctor)

I did insist on the free t3 & t4 but it didn't get me anywhere.
However if he doesn't get better soon I will revisit the subject.

Also, at the internal medicine doctor, right on the door it says "patient only allowed" but I went in anyway cause I didn't see if at first. No one told me to leave.

I'll have to look for the tick tests. I told my s/o what I learned about tick diseases which was that sometimes the tick tests are wrong, and that it will show up once you start treating for it. The internal medicine doctor felt that it was very unlikely because of these reasons:
He never goes outside, except to walk to the car.
Lyme isn't where we live (although the eliclidas one is alot!) *spelling

I know that both of those can be argued because we do have an indoor/outdoor cat and because it doesn't mean lyme doesn't exist here.
(but maybe it lessens the chances)

Supposevely he is going to get better in like 2 weeks. I am doubtful but she says that almost all viruses would have run their course by that time. We will see. (did I mention that on the latest blood tests his liver enzymes were slightly elevated) she didn't seem to concerned but she thought it was due to alchohol (but he doesn't drink or do any drugs or take otc medicines) we told her that so she tested for some other stuff which we don't have results for yet. Will let you know any news. Thank you, thank you, thank you! For reading & posting everyone
