change in pill cause bladder problems?

I used to take Nordette 28 but last January my doctor switched me to Levlen. Starting in March I began having feelings of having a bladder infection. I went to a doctor and she said that it was a bacterial infection and not a bladder infection. Ever since March I have had an on again, off again feeling of having a bladder infection. I am wondering if the change in pill has anything to do with it?
I'm also considering going off the pill since I am 32 and have been on the pill for 14 years. I'm thinking my body has had enough of this.

Re: change in pill cause bladder problems?

what you had was a UTI, and it's not always in your bladder, it coul djust be in the urinary tract, thats probably what your doc meant. something similar happened to me, i had one that was untreated for a long time, and when i finally got antibiotics, the bacteria went away, but i still have symptoms even almost a year later. my urogynecologists think it's interstitial cystitis, which is an irritation of the bladder lining with no infection present. do some research on that. i take a bunch of pills, but theres really no cure, im going to start physical therapy for it too.

as far as i know it has nothing to do with bcps.
