Can Prednisone do this?

thanks for responsding. I am on the prednisone because i am severely anemic (my hemoglobin dropped to 5-i've posted the whole story on the anemia boards) and i must get iron intravenously. i had an awful reaction after 4rth infusion -they switched the iron product and now i must premed with all this prednisone and tons of benadryl as well to enablemeto receive the iron without a reaction-which is so funny cause the pred is killing me!!! i've gained over 40 lbs.- i can't sleep -my sugar has gone sky high (no i am not diabetic)-i'm bloated-my ankles swell- i'm sure you get the picture. anyway it's nice to know someone out here knows what i'm trying to explain to everyone...oh i forgot the main problem -this horrible burning in my arms and sometimes feet- andthe facial flush...urggh the pleasures of prednisone take care

I struggled really hard with the flushes.............. i used to get really hot facial flushes and my face would go very red, i would feel like i was in a sun trap!!

It isnt a nice med but i must admit it did help me to a certain extent which i am grateful for
