Re: Questions about withdrawals

I don't know if you mean another post besides this one. I think this one said she/he was addicted to pain pills and benzos and has been off of them for nine days. She/he was having bad dreams until she started taking Ambien to help with the withdrawals. I don't believe Ambien is addicting. It is just like taking immodium or anything else that helps with symptoms. I have to take Requip every night for restless leg and Elavil. If I didn't I would never sleep. I think as long as you stop when the withdrawals stop it will be okay. That is just my opinion.

Re: Questions about withdrawals

FYI ambien is VERY addicting its very hard to come off of once you use it often. Its a controled substance and Dr's dont like rx'ing it that much that is why there are trying to get other sleep meds out there that are not addicting or habit forming. So this is also very dangerous especially when you take it during the day while at work not just for bed time but through out the day. Please read the old posts on this person. Whoaeva hope your doing better. Kim

Re: Questions about withdrawals

this one of whoaevas first post telling about her problem and what she has been going through. Kim

[I]i been addicted to meds on and off for years. i have a new Doctor and i begged him to give me Valluim. i had 90 of them and they were gone in 4 days. i had Ambien (30) gone in 3 days. i was taking them in the daytime because they helped with Anxiety.
i have a script of Ambien CR that i have been trying to get filled for the past week and they wont let me because its to soon. today i feel HORRIBLE! feels like im gonna puke!
i know i shouldn't be looking for pills but they make me feel normal. they give me energy and when im on them people dont get on my nerves.
today people are really getting on my nerves! i just wanna go to sleep soi i dont feel the way i feel.
i also smoked Crack a while ago. went into rehab for that and pills. but i haven't touched that in a long time and dont plan on it.
i woke up last night screaming PILLS! !
i use to have crack dreams but now i have pill dreams!
im also on Lexapro and i no im messing that up by popping all these horrible pills.
i just need to vent. no one understands what im going thru! but im gonna try one more time today to get my Ambien CR filled. if i cant THEN IM GONNA BUY benadryl because that takes the edge off.
thanks for reading.

Re: Questions about withdrawals

Ambien is very addicting. i can feel the addiction big time with it. i thought it would help with w/D but of course i fooled myself with that.
im gonna get thru this but tonight i went to a friends and got 6 xanax and 1 valium from her. she also had pain pills that i could of got but i didnt even ask her for any (that was hard). i took the xanax and Valuim and i felt so good.i was also taking Lexapro for over a month and tonight will be my forth night without taking it. dont care for it because it makes my mind all foggy. cant think right and my memory is shot. but then again it could be from the benzos. not sure anymore.
thanks for the replys... they really do help.

Kim is right. i did another post about my addicting to pain pills.
i might just have to go to detox because this is to much for me. Anxiety is off the roof. cant take it.
i was on all this before ,a while ago and did the detox at the hospital. i hear alot of you say you were better in about 3 weeks. i think (not sure) it took me about that time. i cant remember.
im thinking about writing my thoughts down on paper. about how sick i feel and i can look back (when im better) and remind myself of what hell it was and never go back to this again. its exhausting and its bringing me so down.

thanks!! you guys are really great on here when it comes to the support.
