Feeling nausea after eating

Now I admit, I'm kinda slow. Slow to really notice this problem. Years ago, I was diagnosed to have a acid reflux problem so I'm not sure if this is related. My problem is that everytime I eat something, I feel nausea afterwards. Now its never a really strong feeling but more of a slight one.

Anyone have any insight on this?
I'd say its been going on for a while now.

Re: Feeling nausea after eating

Hi Lightingbird,

I am not a doctor and cannot tell you what you have, but I can tell you that yes, it does sound like acid reflux.

I went thru the same thing some years back where everytime I ate I would be nauseated, it started out being mild nausea and then as time progressed, it got worse and then it became so bad that it was not just what I ate that made me nauseated, but also everything that I drank, coffee, soda, even water.

It got to the point that I could no longer ignore the problem and knew that it was not going to go away on its own, so I take a trip to my doc, got thru some tests and it is found that I have acid reflux and a small ulcer and both of those things combined were making me very sick.

My doc put me on the little purple pill, (Nexium) and I have been symptom free for years now. I have tried to go without the pill for a few days a time or two and found that the reflux indeed is still there but is controlled by the Nexium.

Good luck to ya and I hope you find some relief from this aggravating illness soon. You do know that if left untreated over a lengthy period of time can cause erosion of your esophagus and can lead to more serious health problems? Not trying to be a know it all or anything just concerned because I have been there too!!

Re: Feeling nausea after eating

That makes sense. Years ago, I thought I was having a heart attack. EMT's rushed me into the hospital. Only to find out that I was having a really bad episode of acid reflux. The gas was really bad that day and my heart bag was almost infected. So yes, I guess thinking about what you just said makes too much sense.

Thanks.
