Re: Will this ever end??????

AlwaysTired,

Any chance you have candida? Have you been on antibiotics? Below from another source.

Antibiotics kill the good bacteria in your body causing the overgrowth of another bacteria (Candida Albicans, etc.). The bacteria THRIVE on sugar and carbohydrates and will make you seriously crave them because THEY need to eat. Also, the candida produce toxins in HUGE amounts that overwhelm your immune system and cause you to be FATIGUED and even not sleep at all or very "lightly" when you do sleep causing more fatigue and BRAIN FOG and a viscious cycle. Many people have a problem with candida overgrowth and haven't had many antibiotic treatments.

Re: Will this ever end??????

Nope. No antibiotics. I tried candidia cleanse from my natural health store, but it did nothing for me. I only took it for a month though. Do you have anything that I can take that is guarenteed to get rid of this, if it is a yeast overgrowth?

I'm not saying other things aren't possible, but I was extremely stressed for along period of time. Don't get my wrong, I would rather it be something like a yeast overgrowth, but what I was eating at the time was all whole grains (brown rice, whole wheat bread, Rolled oats)... I'm not sure.

If you know of something that is a sure fire was of removing yeast, let me know and I'll try it.

Would a yeast overgrowth cause the my low saliva test?

Re: Will this ever end??????

I wouldn't think candida would have anything to do with your low cortisol level.

I am only familiar with Diflucan to get rid of yeast. It is hard on the liver so I would avoid it if there is no positive reason to use it. Ask your doc if candida is a possibility. I have used Nystatin (liquid swished in the mouth) a couple times for Thrush caused by not being careful enough with my steriod inhaler.

I believe the best way to test for addisons is the ACTH stimulation test. You can have a low cortisol level one moment & not the next, so one saliva test means little.

Try drinking bouillon 3 times a day to see if it helps you feel better. Eat salty snacks.

Sure hope you can get in to the endo sooner. Keep us posted!
